Slim box office for Fat Boy following successful secure deliveries
17 January 2007
Secure Mail Services recently handled the secure delivery requirements
of nearly 20,000 tickets for the New Year’s Day’s Fat Boy
Slim concert held on Brighton beach. Tickets for the event were sold exclusively
to people living in Brighton postcodes.
To ensure that all tickets were safely received by customers, our partner,
Trinity Street required each recipient to sign for their tickets as proof
of delivery. In spite of this, over 40% of deliveries were successful
on the first attempt, the rest requiring additional delivery attempts.
However, out of a total of 4,880 deliveries, only 12 items were returned
to the ticket office for collection by customers, equating to a 99.75%
delivery success rate.
SMS used various chaser methods including pre-texts to customer’s
mobiles, chaser e-mails and outbound calling to ensure that as many customers
as possible received their tickets in time for the concert.
Trinity Street was delighted to see a dramatic reduction in the number
of tickets returned to the Box Office for collection as well as reduced
volume of query calls to their customer care team as Secure Mail Services
was able to manage the entire collection and delivery process on their
behalf, freeing up valuable time and resources.
