SMS Delivery 20,000 Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2007
1 October 2007
With exclusivity for the Glastonbury Festival 2007, See Tickets worked
closely with the SMS account team to ensure its ticket deliveries went
smoothly. Over a four day period, 20,000 envelopes were taken by SMS –
with an SLA to deliver them to customers within two weeks.
To accommodate the additional quantities, SMS conducted a depot by depot
analysis of volumes and resourced up accordingly. Additional agents were
also brought into the call centre for additional capacity to manage the
anticipated rise in customer calls.
During the entire period leading up to and during the festival, SMS had
an account manager on site at See‘s office in Nottingham. This guaranteed
that any queries or issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently and
that there were no time delays in communicating back to SMS.
Items that could not be delivered were even taken by SMS to the venue
for on-site collection by the purchaser.
“Glastonbury ’07 was a major, high profile contract for us
and we needed it to be fulfilled smoothly. SMS said they could deliver
– and they did. The extra service and account management through
the course of the contract made all the difference, enabling us to scaleup
for the event seamlessly,” said Martin Fitzgerald. |
