Dear Mr Stapleton
‘Keeping you Posted’
As you are aware, the Communications Workers Union
are currently balloting their members on industrial
action, with the results expected in early June.
In order to assist our customers, SMS - as part of
the DX Group - is undertaking a number of initiatives
which will minimise the impact of a potential Royal
Mail strike on their business.
As part of our Royal Mail strike preparations, we are
keen to extend our service offering to key mail industry
organisations, to help ensure normal daily operations
can continue without interruption.
The DX Group offers a range of business mail services
which could help provide business continuity. In particular,
the Document Exchange connects over 27,000 business
Members across the UK, providing a post 5pm / pre 9
am delivery service for business mail. It also gives
access to our new SecureDX service, giving Members a
highly cost-effective alternative to Special Delivery,
with guaranteed next day delivery to business and residential
addresses nationwide.
We would be delighted to have Postcomm as a DX Member,
whatever the outcome of the union ballot. And should
a strike occur at any time in the future, I would personally
ensure that any DX services you wish to use are provided
to you free of charge – and that we will deliver
every item of mail that you would normally have sent
via Royal Mail.
We look forward to having the opportunity of ‘keeping
you posted’! Please let me know if you wish to
discuss this further.
Yours sincerely
James Greenbury
Chief Executive Officer
